The PDF itself stays in your browser while pdf.js reads its text. Only that extracted text is sent to a protected server endpoint, which asks an AI model to produce the kind of summary you selected. You can copy the result or download it as a plain text file.
When to use it
Use it to get oriented in a long report, review class material, pull key decisions from meeting notes, or create a quick executive overview before reading the original closely.
What it will not do
AI summaries can miss context or state a detail incorrectly, so verify names, dates, figures, legal terms, and decisions against the PDF. Image-only scans have no text layer to summarize. Free use is limited to 50 pages or 120,000 characters and a small number of requests per hour and day.
