Your files

The PDFs and images you open here are read by your browser and stay on your device. The AI Summarizer is the only tool that sends document content elsewhere, and it sends extracted text rather than the PDF file.

When you press Save in the editor, the document is stored in your browser’s IndexedDB — still on your device. It is erased if you clear site data, and it does not travel to another device or another browser.

AI PDF Summarizer

When you send your first chat message, extracted text from up to 50 PDF pages is sent to our Cloudflare Worker. The PDF file and images stay local. Cloudflare Workers AI processes the text, your question, and up to four recent completed conversation turns for each answer.

Extracted text is stored in a randomly identified Cloudflare KV session for 30 minutes. Follow-up messages reuse that session. Generated answers may be cached for up to 7 days under a hash of the document, conversation context, and options. Starting a new document clears the browser conversation; the previous server session expires automatically. Avoid sharing documents whose contents you do not want temporarily stored or processed by AI.

Free use is limited per browser/network to five summaries per hour and fifteen per day. Rate-limit records contain only one-way identifiers and short-lived counters. Cloudflare may still process technical request data such as IP addresses for security and service operation.

Settings

Your chosen theme (light or dark), your language, and a count of how many times a tool has finished here are kept in localStorage. The count is what stops the donation note appearing too often. None of them identifies a person, and none of them leaves your device.

Analytics and ads

This site shows ads from Google AdSense, which sets cookies and may use your IP address and browsing to choose them. Google explains that at policies.google.com/technologies/ads , and you can opt out of personalised ads at myadcenter.google.com. There is no other analytics or tracking here.

Ads may be delivered or measured by Google and Google-certified third-party vendors and ad networks. The providers available through AdSense are described in the certified-vendor list; the consent message identifies the providers that may receive data for your region. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices .

Advertising scripts cannot read files selected in browser file controls. The AI Summarizer's extracted text is sent only to its protected Cloudflare endpoint for Workers AI processing; it is not shared with advertisers.

Donations

Donations are handled entirely by PayPal and Buy Me a Coffee. The payment happens on their pages, under their own privacy terms: no card details are typed into this site, and none reach us. If you leave a name or a message when donating, that is all we are shown. Your documents are not involved at any point.

Hosting

This is a static site. Like any web server, the hosting provider may keep access logs (IP address, time, and which page was requested) for security and operations. No document contents appear in those logs.
