How to edit a PDF
Editing a PDF usually means one of two things: fixing text that is already in the document, or adding something on top of it — a name, a date, a signature. This editor does both, and your file never leaves the device.
Steps
Open your PDF in the editor
Go to Edit PDF and choose the file, or drop it on the home page. It opens straight into the workspace with your pages down the left.
Click the text you want to change
Click any text in the document to select it. Click it again to put your cursor in and type. The word you replace is genuinely removed from the file, not covered with a white box.
Add anything new from the tool rail
The rail on the right holds text, image, signature, shapes, highlight and pen. Picking one reveals only the options that tool needs, so the controls stay out of your way.
Download when you are done
Press Download. Only the pages you actually changed are rebuilt — untouched pages are written out exactly as they arrived, keeping their original fonts and quality.
Keep a copy of your original before you edit. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is stored on a server, which also means there is no copy for anyone to restore for you.
Common questions
Can I edit a scanned PDF?
Not the scan itself. A scan is a picture of a page, so there is no text to select. You can still write on top of it — add text, a signature or a whiteout box — which is what most people actually need for a scanned form.
Does the edited page stay searchable?
Partly. A page you edit comes back with its background as an image, while the text you kept or typed is redrawn as real text and stays selectable. Pages you never touched are completely untouched.
Can I use this to hide sensitive information?
No, and this matters. Covering something with a box hides it visually but leaves the original underneath in the file, where it can still be copied out. Deleting text through the editor does remove it — but do not rely on a cover box for anything confidential.
Is there a watermark or a page limit?
Neither. No sign-up, no watermark, no cap on how many files you run through it.
